Join us for an informational meeting on March 22, 2011, regarding the introduction of the new ASAP airspace structure intended for Oslo and the Farris Terminal Manoeuvring Area (TMA). The objective of the Oslo ASAP project is to improve air traffic capacity while maintaining high safety standards and acceptable controller workload. The new structure includes the development of Standard Instrument Departures (SIDs) and Standard Terminal Arrival Routes (STARs). Emphasis will be placed on operational efficiency, reducing CO2 emissions, and adhering to noise abatement procedures.

Oslo ASAP AIRSPACE Operational objectives: • Oslo ASAP is intended to develop a new airspace structure within the Oslo AoR, including SIDs and STARs for Oslo and Farris TMA. • Ensure adequate capacity in Oslo and Farris TMAs and in Oslo ACC while keeping: • Safety at a high standard; • Controllers’ workload at an acceptable level. • Ensure efficiency of operations so as to: • Reduce CO2 emission; • Accommodate Noise Abatement Procedures (ENGM).
