  3. District Grants • Single “block” grant annually to district for club and district projects ($17261.00) • Split equally / 35 clubs • Local or international projects • Support specific or existing grant projects • Grants administered by District 5630 • Completed during current Rotary year

  4. District Grants • To include Rotarian participation • Align with Foundation’s mission • Club cash encouraged – not required • Required – receipts for grant amount • Annual Requirements • Club MOU • Current IRS 990 status • Grant application training

District Grants • Online application @ Rotary5630.org • May 15th 2013 deadline to apply • June 15th District review complete • Unapplied for funds @ discretion of district • July 1st District submit spending plan to RI • August 1st grant checks sent out to clubs • May 15th 2014 deadline to complete

  6. Example • Backpack Program for kids • $300 Club cash fundraising project • $500 DDF (district designated funds) • $800 Project Total

  7. Example • Fish farm in Guatemala • $1000 Club cash fundraising project • $ 250 Contribution Club 123 • $ 250 Contribution Club xyz • $ 500 DDF (district designated funds) • $2000 Project Total
