  1. Avesh Khan Hopes To Give His 100 Percent If Opportunity Comes Delhi Capitals’s (DC) rookie pace bowler Avesh Khan is preparing himself for the upcoming England series after being added in the standby players’ list along with three other players – Abhimanyu Easwaran, Prasidh Krishna and Arzan Nagwaswalla. He has already impressed everyone with his skills in all the game he has played for Delhi in the now-postponed 14th edition of the Indian Premier League. He picked up 14 wickets, the joint second-highest along with Rajasthan Royals’ all-rounder Chris Morris. It was only three wickets less than Royal Challenger Bangalores’ (RCB) pacer Harshal Patel who topped the bowling chart before the cash-rich league was suspended. However, the young pacer has told that he has travelled with the Indian team before as well.

  2. However, he said that he will make sure to be match fit in every way possible so that if an opportunity comes he could give his 100 percent in the game. Notably, during the Australia tour last year, a lot of injuries took place in the Indian team, which saw the debuts of the net bowlers like T Natarajan, Shardul Thakur in the bowling department as well as Washington Sundar as an all-rounder in the playing eleven as well. “I have travelled as net bowler with Team India to South Africa as well. I was with the squad during 2019 World Cup in England also, was them during the home Test series against England. I have been with the Indian squad during Asia Cup also. It gives a very good opportunity. I am a standby bowler for the upcoming England tour and if someone gets injured I might get a chance to play. I will do my preparations for the tour. I have to play and give my 100 per cent,” Avesh Khan told ESPNcricinfo. However, India’s England tour will begin with the inaugural World Test Championship (WTC) final where they will play against New Zealand from June 18 in Southampton. Virat Kohli-led India will then play against England in a five-match Test series starting August 4 as well.
