  5. 2. Absolute Location • Exact location such as an address or Latitude/longitude coordinates • EX: 50N, 75E • 5015 S. Blackstone

  6. 3. Situation (relative location) • Location of a place relative to other locations • Kenwood is east of the lake

  7. 4. Site • Physical characteristics of a place • Climate, water, topography, soil, vegetation, elevation

  8. Human Characteristics • Characteristics about the people • Language, culture, population, tourism, economy, religion, government etc.

  9. Reading: Focus on meaning of words • Read and talk to the text

  10. Group Picture and gallery walk • Every group will use the descriptive vocabulary in the reading and draw a picture of how they visualize Buenos Aires. You do not have to include everything from the reading. Just what you pictured during and after reading.(10 min) • Gallery walk with comments of pictures
