  2. Antirrhinum majus cv. ‘Snapdragon’ • Often used as a cut flower • Tall heads show bright colored flowers • Can be grown in flower beds using the low growing varieties • Single flowers open their mouth looking like a dragon.

  3. Astilbe • Flowering plant with tall feathery heads. • Flower color ranges from pink to white to purple to red. • Dark green foliage is decorative but mostly grown for flowers.

  4. Canna X generalis ‘Canna’ • Mostly seen as a flower used in home gardens, but some varieties are used in flower arrangements. • Foliage can be yellow, green, or dark reddish purple. • Flowers can be red, pink, yellow or other bright colors.

  5. Camillia japonica cv. ‘Common Camellia’ • Very symmetrical flowers. • Large shrub can reach 10 ft tall. • Large glossy leaves.

  6. Camellia sasanqua ‘Sasanqua Camellia’ • Pink flowers that are less symmetrical than the common camellia. • Classified as a tree or shrub. • Smaller leaves than the common camellia

  7. Chrysanthemum morifolium • Used as a florist cut flower and potted flower. • Colors include pink, yellow, red, white, bronze, magenta and purple. • Also commonly called “mum.”

  8. Fuchsia X hybrida ‘Fuchsia’ • Pink and purple flowers are common but white, pink, magenta flowers can be found. • Mostly found in hanging baskets or as a potted flowering plant. • Can be planted outside in summer, but doesn’t tolerate extreme heat.

  9. Gladiolius x hortulanus • Very common cut flower. • Tall heads give great height for arrangements. • Available in most any color wanted.

  10. Iris germanica Bearded Iris • Common garden perennial in the south. • Grown from a bulb or tuber. • Comes in pinks,whites, and yellows but mostly every shade of purple.

  11. Iris xiphiumDutch Iris • Has a smaller, more arranged flower than the bearded iris. • Usually has yellow flecks or spots in it. • Common cut flower.
