  3. CAREER IN DRAMA • Competed against other poets • Defeated Aeschylus • Celebrated poet at 19 • Wrote more than 100 plays • Only 7 survived in entirety • First to add third actor • Abolished trilogic form • Transformed spirit of tragedy
