  2. Three Year Sequence • All students take one class from each three year sequence • Advanced Regents Diploma requires students to pass Algebra I, Geometry and Algebra II Regents Exams

  3. Geometry • Geometry Regents • Regents level course • Leads to an Advanced Regents Diploma • Geometry • Non - Regents level course • NCAA compliant for math credit for DI and DII Athletes

  4. Algebra II • Algebra II Regents • Regents level course • Required for an Advanced Regents Diploma • Algebra II Skills A /B • Two – year version of Algebra II Regents • Students take Algebra II Regents at the completion of second year (B course) • Trigonometry • Non - Regents level course • NCAA compliant for math credit for DI and DII Athletes

Year 4 Options – ALL Students should take 4 years of math in high school • Pre – Calculus • Prepares students to take Calculus course either later in high school or in college • AP Statistics • College level course • Leads to college credit with appropriate score on AP Exam. • College Readiness Math (Elective) • Prepares students to take the CCC math exam. • Does not count for a 3rd high school math credit • Algebra II with Financial Concepts(Elective) • Students will use Algebra II topics in real world problems • Topics include: Investments, Credit Card Debt, Loans, Income Tax, Mortgages, Retirement Planning • Does not count for a 3rd high school math credit

  6. Calculus Options • SUPA Calculus • Earn Syracuse University credit while in high school. • Teaches all the topics covered Calculus I in Syracuse University as well as some topics from Calculus II. Taught at a slower pace than the AP courses. • AP Calculus AB • Students may earn college credit depending on AP Exam score • Equivalent to Calculus I • AP Calculus BC • Students may earn college credit depending on AP Exam score • Covers all topics in Calculus I and extends into Calculus II topics

  7. IB Options • IB Math Studies • Great option for students who do not plan on studying on math or science major in college, such as business. • Students often take AP Statistics or SUPA Calculus following this course • IB Math SL • Similar to Pre-Calculus with additional topics • Intended for students who intend to study a math/science major in college • Students often take AP Calculus following this course • IB Math HL 1 / 2 • A two year sequence intended for very strong math students • Very rigorious course intended for students who plan on studying math / engineering in college • Includes all topics covered in AP Calculus BC as well as additional topics
