  1. Marvelous Math Probability: We learned some key words for probability, words like; unlikely, certain, likely, & impossible. Weight In groups we worked to balance our pan balance. Our hope was to make the scale even by putting more or less objects on one side. Adding & Subtracting As a class we played a game called The Train game. This game got us thinking about addition and subtraction members in our class to create a train. Graphing Our class created a bar graph of our favorite colors. We each colored a square to represent our favorite color, then taped it up to create a bar graph. We then looked for the color that was the favorite, least favorite, etc. Excellent ELA…. Sight words: she & is Ask us how we spelled our sight words each day during calendar. Letters: c & j Did you know c is for things like cat, car, and carrot. J is found in words like jar, jump, and jam. Stories we read: Mrs. Wishy Washy by Joy Cowley This fun story took a look at some animals that DO NOT like taking a bath. We were able to retell the story correctly identifying the characters, setting, & beginning, middle, and end. Sleep Big Bear Sleep by Maureen Wright & Will Hillenbrand Animals that Hibernate by Phyllis J. Perry. Both of these stories taught us about hibernation. We created a list of animals that hibernate for the winter. We also created our very own hibernation picture. Kid Writing: In kid writing we are working hard to sound out our letters in order to spell & write words.
