  2. Throughout history people have used different images as ways to represent themselves as individuals and as groups. Arizona became a state on February 14th 1912. On February 14th 2012 Arizona will celebrate its 100th year as a state. As a part of the United States Arizona represents a democracy and should have symbols that not only represent Arizona, but the U. S. as well. Symbols of Democracy

  4. My symbol should be chosen to represent Arizona’s centennial, because it has pictures of things from Arizona to represent the people and ideas of Arizona as a part of the United States. Most symbols of Arizona include wildlife or mining. I wanted to symbolize Arizona’s first 100 years in a way that everyone could share in. Let’s See reason
