Purpose: Title I Spring Review and Revision Meeting with Stakeholders As a parent of a child who receives Title I services in our school, we value your input always and especially on the following Title I services: • School/ Parent Compact • School Parent Plan, • Parent Involvement Budget • Parent Engagement Activities, • Building Staff Capacity.

It is the largest Federal Assistance Program for our nation’s schools. • Title I provides federal funds through Georgia Department of Education to schools with at least 40% of the student population receiving free and reduced meals. 12. Title I Spring Review and Revision Meeting with Stakeholders District Academic Goals: ·  District Academic Goals Section 1 The Floyd County Board of Education set goals for the entire district. The overarching district goals for 2018-2019 are: Grades K-8 • Sixty-five percent of students will meet or exceed their growth goal on MAP ELA and Math assessments. • The percentage of proficient and distinguished learners on EOG assessment, Georgia Milestones, will increase by 3% and beginning learners will decrease by 3%. The percentage of proficient and distinguished learners will increase by 3% and the percentage of beginning learners will decrease by 3% as measured by the Georgia Milestones Assessment. Title I Spring Review and Revision Meeting with Stakeholders Teacher/School Responsibilities Family Responsibilities • Attend workshops and use the information gained to check on the progress of my student. • Use the packets sent home during conferences to help my student master Math and Literacy. • Visit teacher websites and use the resources posted to help my student study and check for understanding. • Will read with or have my student read to me 20 minutes a week and check for understanding throughout the year. • Check the parent portal for grade and assignment updates • Develop parent workshops to allow parent participation in the academic achievements for their child. • Provide parents with packets for academic support at home 3 times a year at our “Moving Towards Graduation” conferences. • Post supports and reviews for math and literacy on teacher websites and update regularly. • Conduct DEAR (Drop Everything And Read) for at least 20 minutes weekly in each subject area to support increasing literacy. • Provide summer reading lists and materials. Student Responsibilities • Share information with my parents about Google Classroom and other resources teacher provide and ask teachers questions when I do not understand something. • Work on resources provided at home and attend tutoring if I still have questions. • Visit teacher websites and use the resources and examples provided. • Read 20 minutes nightly at home, including summer.

Annual Title I Meeting – August 27, 2019 We invite you to attend and opportunity of learning and sharing about our Title I program, including our parent and family engagement policy, the schoolwide plan, the school-parent compacts, and parents’ requirements. Invitations will be emailed and posted in the school newsletter and website, social media. Reading Night –September 2019 We invite you to a night of parent reading involvement and tips to increase reading at home. Parent Involvement Day/Georgia Milestones Information Day – March 27, 2020 Learn about opportunities to become more involved in our school.
