  4. Writing about Literature • Essay as Argument • Inductive Reasoning—observation/noticing patterns and determining what they mean • Deductive Reasoning—connecting two or more claims to form a conclusion • Your logic must be sound (especially with deductive reasoning)

  5. Examples from WEaL • Page 264 • Page 271 • These are starting points for what you should do with HW 3. • Make sure you offer SPECIFIC examples from the text, though.
