  5. Current Status • 150,000 registered users • 73,000 frequent users • Natural growth: 2,500 new joiners per month • November 2005: 7 million emails received, 10 million sent • Directory: over 1 million entries

Contact functionality • Provides a full business standard email service that can be used with products such as Outlook and Groupwise • Encrypts messages for security • Integrated Calendar, Directory & e-mail • Access to the national Directory and local organisation directory • Outgoing Fax & SMS • Dynamic distribution lists • SPAM filtering • Virus scanning • Generic mailboxes

  22. Migration • NHS CFH and C&W offer a managed migration service • Centrally funded (NHS England) • Email may be migrated from existing email systems (Exchange, Notes etc) • Minimal disruption with no data loss • Some costs may be incurred locally i.e. staff time, system upgrade
