Part one (3) • We had a converstation with your negotiators at the Guangzhou Fair in early May of this year on the supply of Rock Phosphate from the Columbia Phosphate Rock Association. • During our negotiations at the fair we came to know that your preferred the rock phosphate of superior quality to what we had offered you previously.

Part one (3) • To meet your requirements, we have since exhausted our best efforts in persuading the Columbia Phosphate Rock Association to supply higher quality phosphate rock. • In spite of the growing shortage of this material, we felt that it would be an error to start you off using Columbia Phosphate Rock of an inferior quality, with which you might have some problems.

Part one (3) • Having special connections with the above association and being always assured of their full cooperation, we hope to be able to offer you some higher grade PHOSPHATE ROCK in the near future and, in the meantime, shall keep you advised of the supply conditions prevailing in this market.
