  4. In groups analyse your magazine cover Magazine title connotes ‘coming out’ which fits target audience Young adult male model – probably aimed at gay men of a similar age range. Model is staring straight at reader – engaging image. Masculine or neutral colours used – not stereotypical of ‘gay’ advertising. Could be a straight magazine; it isn’t really obvious Colour, images, shapes, font, titles, logos

  5. Pick a target audience and decide your group roles 1. Look at your target audience2. Decide on the story and main image for your front cover3. Start designing your own front cover! Editor • In charge of the name of the magazine, creating article titles and deciding on any adverts • Keeping other groups members in line! Reporter • You are in charge of the layout of the front cover and making sure it matches your target audience Designer • In charge of colour scheme and images

  6. Move around the room and on your post-it write a comment explaining how that group has met their target audience and how they have used stereotypes. comment on if stereotypes have been positively/negatively used.
