  2. Did you know? • The first computer was invented in year 1834, long before the television and the telephone by the inventor Charles Babbage

  3. Early years • The computer was first named the Difference Engine • It got completed just before the Second World War • The computer was used to crack German codes in the Second World War • The size of it was as big as a double decker bus

  4. The second computer • Later, Babbage passed away in a fatal accident • A second computer was invented later in year 1953 right after the Second World War by Ted Hoff • It was much smaller and cheaper than the first one

  5. The present • Today, computers are commonly used by all types of people for schoolwork and leisure
