  4. Have you ever taken an online class? Taught one? Tell! What can or can’t be taught online, iyo?

  5. Format for the first month: • Wednesday lecture/discussions 6-7 pm with different StudyCom teachers • Recorded lectures each week (you can attend if you have time) with different StudyCom teachers • Pre-lecture readings or websites to examine • Post-lecture written discussion

  6. Why online? • It works • It’s fun and fulfilling for students and teachers • There is a demand for it worldwide • It can be folded into traditional classrooms

  7. Why Online Part II • Some skills can improve faster online (which, iyo?) • It has greater reach than traditional (in what way, iyo?) • It has greater depth than traditional (because of what, iyo?) • It allows for small group work (try it!)

  8. Why Online Part III • Most important: you can teach or attend class in your pyjamas… or even sans pyjamas!
