VGS Related Topics at PCC: • Technical Studies Subcommittee Report • WECC Wind Power Plant Dynamic Modeling Guidelines • WECC PV Plant Power Flow Modeling Guidelines • Modeling Validation Work group 2010-11 TSS report • Loads and Resources Subcommittee Report • L&R annual data request used to respond to: • NERC Long Term Reliability Assessment • WECC’s Power Supply Assessment, and • To populate data base used by TEPPC. • Two new items added: • Request for Historical hourly wind generation data • Voluntary submission of DSM and demand response data

SPG reports: • Columbia Grid: • approved report on Relative NW Benefits of local vs. remote wind generation • Joint initiatives: dynamic scheduling system to come on line, looking at benefits of combining Balancing Authorities • Colorado Coordinated Planning Group: • SB100 requires development of CREZ and transmission to meet renewable needs • Sierra Subregional Planning Group: • Renewable Energy Conceptual Transmission Plan • California Transmission Planning Group • Stakeholder comments: redispatch methodology, push RAS and SPS studies to local BAs, TEPPC coordination and interface. (Refer to these and other SPGs under March PCC online documents)
