  1. Bell Work 1. 2x – 3y = 6 2. 3x + y = 9 Put the following equations into slope intercept form.

  2. Graphing by Intercepts • Graph by Intercepts • Plug 0 in for x and solve = our y intercept (0,y) • Plug 0 in for y and solve = our x intercept (x,0)

  3. Graph the lines 1. y = x – 2 2. 3x + y = 9

  4. Graph the lines 1. y ≥ x – 2 2. 3x + y < 9

  5. Shade by Test Points 1. y ≥ x – 2 2. 3x + y < 9

  6. Shade with out Test Points If y > mx + b, shade the plane above the line. If y < mx + b, shade the plane below the line. Horizontal Lines Vertical Lines x > a then shade Right x < a then shade Left y > b then shade Up y < b then shade Down

  7. Class Practice • x ≤ -3 • y > 4x – 3 • x – 3y ≤ -9

  8. Individual Practice • y < 3 • y > -2x + 3 • 4x + y ≥ -1
