  6. Classroom Expectations • Feel free to do anything that does not cause a problem for anyone else. • I teach when there are no distractions or other problems. • I listen to students who raise their hands. I listen to one person at a time. • Please treat me with respect – the same way I treat you. • Please address me by my name – the same way I address you. • If someone causes a problem, I will ask him or her to fix it. If they cannot or will not fix it, I will enact consequences.

  8. YOU are your student’s most important teacher! • Be sure your child gets healthy meals and snacks, and expect him/her to get a good night’s sleep. • Ask to see your child’s homework each night. • Keep in touch with your child’s counselor and teaching staff. • Check Skyward often! • Check teacher websites often! • Model a love of learning for your child through reading – newspapers, books, textbooks. No child is too young nor too old to benefit from being read to and given one-on-one time with mom or dad.
