Shortly about BDA • The company of Lattelecom group which is the leading provider of electronic communications services in Latvia • Focus: adult training and knowledge certification • Experience: 18 years • Capacity: • 31 full time employees, • 2,3 mill euro • 3000 trainees a year • 100 workplaces equipped with computers for training at the same time • around 200 different courses

The main activities • Standardized ICT manufacturers courses • ICT courses adapted to the needs of customer • Identification of the needs of training • Evaluation of skills and knowledge of employees • E-learning solutions • Blended learning solutions (courses with trainer in class and e-learning) • Development of training materials • Training of the trainers • Development and implementation of education projects

Health sector projects • The health care employees training in basic ICT skills in the framework of guidelines «e-health in Latvia» (The ministry of Health, The vocational education centre of medicine) • Computer skills distance learning for the Health Compulsory Insurance State agency (HCISA) • Perform pre-course skills assessment • Prepare adapted learning path • Perform instructor-led computer based distance training • Perform skills assessment to ensure achievement of training tools

Librarians training including librarians and IT consultants • Project «Improvement of information technologies and internet usage skills» (2005,1900 librarians were trained in Latvia with basic skills) • Project «The possibilities of Internet and TV during informatizationera» (2009 – 2010 developed training materials and 1750 librarians were trained in Latvia) • 2007, 1800 librarians were trained in Latvia to use e-signature

Leonardo da Vinci project «Fostering Free Software Usage in the Baltic States» (2010 – 2012) • Developed education programme on Free Software (FSW) which is compliant with the international standard for ICT education (ECDL) • Training of teachers and staff of VET institution and students and unemployed people on FSW which include graphics and e-learning development • Developed ECDL testing suite and authorization by supervisor authorities • Developed e-learning website
