Household Data Module Setup for LLTI and Disability Projections

This document outlines the configuration and methodology for the Household Data Module related to Long-term Limiting Illness (LLTI) and Disability projections, based on the CLG 2008 forecasts. It details the application of population adjustments to Sub-National Population Projections (SNPP) to identify the 'population at risk' and utilize CLG-defined headship rates for household projections. Additionally, it explains the setup of blank workbooks that will be populated by the data module for various scenarios, including static and alternative disability rate scenarios.

  3. CLG Data Module Methodology • The Data Module applies a population adjustment to the Sub-National Population Projection (SNPP) for the chosen area/s, to create a ‘population at risk’ • SNPP – Population adjustment (Persons not in households) = Population at risk. • The Data Module applies the CLG defined headship rates to the ‘population at risk’, to replicate the CLG 2008 household forecasts. • Population at risk x CLG 2008 Headship rates = household projection Edge Analytics 2011
