  3. E-Business Suite and Portal: The HPHC Vision…… Employers, Providers, Brokers and Members conduct business On Oracle E-Business Suite applications via the Portal

  4. Background • HPHC’s goal to make healthcare easier for member, employers, brokers and providers through personalization and integration • Portal on the intranet • Portal to reduce administrative costs

  5. Integrating with ESS • HPHC had an existing security infrastructure using Netegrity • Challenge: Configure Oracle9iAS Portal to utilize Netegrity for authentication on Windows 2000 • Solution: • Implement IIS and Oracle Reverse Proxy • Utilize standard Oracle9iAS Single Sign-On features to catch Netegrity authentication

Pixel Perfect Perfection • Former site was ColdFusion • Site design took 1 year to be approved – no design changes allowed • Site was largely static – 1 person maintained with help of outsourcing vendor • User Interface Templates • Migration to Portal intended to speed content delivery and ease site management • Utilizing Custom Item Types to ensure consistency and ease development
