  6. Grades • 40 % Tests • 4 per semester (including final) • 25 % Labs • 8-10 per semester • Thank you for your $5-$10 donation!We could not do the labs without it! • 20 % Quizzes • Every Friday • 15 % Homework and Participation

  7. Grading Scale • Regular grading scale with 2 % normalization. • A= 88%-100% • B= 78% - 87% • C= 68% - 77% • D = 55% -67 % • F –below 55% • Grades will be posted on the AERIES Grading System

  8. Course Topics: • Units and Numbers, Motion (position, velocity and acceleration), Forces, Waves, Electricity and Magnetism, Thermodynamics • Tutors: • Tutors are only useful in addition to students own 2 hours of work a week. • Don’t pay to have someone else do your child’s homework!
