  1. 5 Types Of Air Conditioner Problems Listed below are five common AC-related issues that air conditioner owners can come across. These are problems that should be addressed promptly to avoid larger and more costly air conditioner issues. 1. OUTDOOR WATER LEAK On hot summer days when your Air Conditioner unit seems to be working harder than usual, you might notice a puddle of water outside under your unit’s compressor. This could be because of several reasons: improper installation, a broken condensate pan, dry air filter, or bad AC seal, to name a few. 2. REFRIGERANT LEAKS Refrigerant, also known as freon, is responsible for cooling the air inside your air conditioning system. The performance of your AC remains top-notch if the refrigerant charge matches the manufacturer’s specifications. We offer air conditioning repair services for refrigerant leaks. If you do not fix the refrigerant leak quickly, your system will become less efficient. 3. FROZEN EVAPORATOR COILS In a properly functioning system, the evaporator circulates refrigerant vapor at about 40 degrees—the optimal temperature to extract heat from the airflow passing through the coil but never frigid enough to produce ice. When ice accumulates on the coil, it prevents the refrigerant in the coil from absorbing latent heat. Damage may occur as the blower fan strains to pull air through the ice-obstructed coil, often overheating, or the compressor is dangerously overstressed as the Air Conditioner runs continuously, never cycling off. You’ll need to call our certified contractors to perform an air conditioning repair and fix the problem. 4. FAN FAILURE The outside unit of your air conditioner transfers the heat from inside to outside through a fan. If the fan located outside of the house does not perform efficiently, proper heat transfer does not occur. As a result, the air conditioner’s compressor may overheat or trip the safety load. Worst case scenario? This may cause internal damage to the compressor, which could lead to an air conditioner replacement. 5. DIRTY FILTER

  2. If you notoriously forget to change your air filter, you’re not alone. In a perfect world, you’d change an air filter every three months. If you have pets or suffer from allergies, you’ll probably opt to change it every seven to nine weeks. An air conditioner filter may seem insignificant, but it plays an important role in keeping the airflow through your house clean and free from dust and pollutants.
