  1. Types of Air Conditioner Repair Solutions In most inhabited climates, the summer months are uncomfortably hot without the aid of indoor cooling systems. When temperatures rise to Air Conditioner Repair and above, cooling units are a necessity, not a luxury. When these systems break down, repairs are a time sensitive issue. The following are three common problems that befall cooling units, along with ways to fix them. 1: Lack of Sufficient Cooling When a cooling unit stops working, the issue is frustrating at best. There are a few possibilities for why a conditioner is not keeping a home sufficiently cool. The solution can be as simple as turning a circuit breaker back on. However, a lack of cold air can also mean that the condensing coil, located outside of the cooling unit, is either blocked or otherwise damaged. This is not something that can be fixed without the aid of an air conditioner repair technician. Blocked coils become a problem if the unit's filter is not replaced often. If the coil cannot be cleaned, it may need to be replaced.

  2. 2: Cooling Unit Stops Abruptly If an air conditioning unit stops without warning, an emergency visit from a Newmarket HVAC Services professional is warranted, especially if the system's breakdown is also accompanied by a smoky smell. Though sometimes an air conditioning unit stops working due to a circuit breaker issue, it can also malfunction because its compressor burned out. In most cases, a compressor can be replaced by an HVAC technician without the need to sacrifice the entire cooling system. 3: Loss Of Air Pressure From The Cooling Unit If a conditioning unit's flow is suddenly reduced, there are two possible issues with which to contend. The easier fix is an overloaded circuit. If the cooling unit is running on the same power strip as other electricity guzzlers, such as a desktop computer, the circuit servicing the devices will give out. Before the fuse is blown completely, each device might experience a reduction of power. This is most evident in a cooling unit because its pressure directly correlates with the amount of power it is privy to. If the loss of pressure is attributed to a duct system defect, the fix is much more complicated and also very urgent. Defective ducts can cause a lack of airflow at best, and fire at worst. To fix a defective duct, an air conditioner repair technician may need to reroute the duct entirely, fix leaky duct connections, or replace collapsed tubing.
