Marshmallow Catapults • You will be designing a catapult to launch marshmallows towards a target • Each team will have a budget that they are to spend on supplies for their catapult • You will be given three full days to build and test your catapult • On Thursday January 20th, you will be shooting your catapults for a grade

Marshmallow Catapults • Each team is given one million Barney Bucks to spend on supplies to construct your catapult • Supply List: • Popsicle sticks ($1000 each) • Mouse Traps ($250,000 each) • Metal Spoons ($500,000 each) • Plastic Spoons ($300,000 each) • 1 foot of masking tape ($100,000) • Marshmallows for testing ($50,000 each) • Rubber bands ($100,000 each) • Pencil ($50,000 each) • Paperclip ($10,000 each)

  3. Day 1: Budget and Design • By the end of class today: • Hand in a tentative budget (You may add or remove items at ANY given time PRIOR to the GRADE DAY) • Hand in a tentative design drawing on computer paper of your catapult
