  11. Welcome, Lisamaria Martinez! • Born in North Carolina • Lived in Puerto Rico • Moved to Southern California! • Oldest of 3 children in her family.

  12. Educational Background • Bachelor’s Degree from University of California – Berkeley • Gave Tours of Campus during her college years! • Master’s Degree-Louisiana Tech • Major - Educational Psychology with a minor in Orientation/Mobility Services

  13. Work Experience • Taught Orientation/Mobility, Independent Living Skills and Braille Skills for California Department of Rehabilitation and Lion’s Club for the Blind. • 2008–2018 - Donor Relations Coordinator and Director of Community Services at Lighthouse for the Blind • 2018-Launched her own business as a Life Coach!

  14. Personal Accomplishments • Qualified for a spot on the US paralympic team in JUDO! • Just missed competing in 2008 Paralympic competition in Beijing! • Married • Mother of 3 children (ages 2, 4, & 8) • Has visited 20 countries on 5 continents and 28 states in USA

  24. STIPENDS! Stop by Registration Table to Sign up for your Family Stipend. Stipends will be mailed to you in 1-2 weeks. Saturday only: $50 for families living within 50 miles $100 for families living further than 50 miles Friday evening & Saturday: $100 for families living within 50 miles $250 for families living further than 50 miles
