  2. Six European Partner Cities are involved: Rome (IT) Göteborg (SE) Barcelona (ES) Bucharest (RO) Berlin (DE) Ploiesti (RO) Assisted by 7 institutional partners But SpiCycles is not just for these cities...it is for you too

  3. The aim of Spicycles is to:- show that cycling’s modal share can be increased in cities with different conditions. 4 types of actions are being used support, facilitate and stimulate the activities of the six cities, and also give a positive boost to local cycling policies involve other cities and disseminate widely

  4. Four actions of SpiCycles are:- bike-sharing schemes communication and awareness-raising campaigns; integration of cycling planning into the overall spatial and transport planning; building local partnerships - involvement

  5. Spicycles - a positive impact on... cycling modal share energy consumption emissions attitudinal change local stakeholders involvement integration transport/spatial planning

  6. But, how will we measure success, and also involve you? all partner cities will be benchmarked other cities – you – are invited to do this too we use the VeloInfo online system. This assesses cycle policy in four ways: Preparation,planning, implementation, monitoring & evaluation

  7. The results will go on an Interactive Cycle Map of Europe we aim to benchmark 66 cities cities receive a ‘score’ in bronze, silver, gold or platinum Other information can be added to the map about your city… ..but have you seen the google earth map?
