  2. Tapeworms • The most common type of worms found in pets. • Usually looks like white, segmented section connected with each other • Causes health problems like vomiting, diarrhea, nausea and lethargy. • Treatment: • Medication like Epsiprantel or Drontal

  3. Hookworms • Hook shaped • Found in pets’ intestines • Causes pale gums, anemia, skin irritation, blood in stool and weight loss in pets • Treatment: • Dewormers for at least 3 months

  4. Roundworms • infect dogs through contaminated feces ingestion or from mother to puppies during nursing • Found in pets’ intestines and can be up to 7 inches long • Causes swollen belly, dull coat, diarrhea and vomiting etc • Treatment: • Medications like Canex and Popantel

  5. Whipworms • Sucks dogs’ blood • Found in large intestine of dogs • Causes flatulence, anemia, bloody stool, weight loss and diarrhea • Treatment: • Dewormer such as Fenbendazole

  6. Heartworms • Most dreadful type of worms • Harms dogs heart and lungs severely • Causes dull coat, coughing, swollen belly • Treatment: • Heartworm preventives like Heartgard Plus, Sentinel etc
