  2. WSEZ „INVEST-PARK” Special Economic Zone - administratively separated territory, designated for running business activity under preferential conditions. Entrepreneurs operating in the zone are entitled to receive public aid in form of income tax exemption. WSEZ „INVEST-PARK” was established based on the Council of Ministers Ordinance of 15 April 1997 and will be operating until the end of 2020 (extension till 2026 is under discussion).

  3. Location WSEZ „INVEST-PARK” consists of 41 subzones, located in 4 Provinces: Lower Silesia, Opolskie, Wielkopolskie and Lubuskie. The Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone

  7. PUBLIC AID Investor starting business activity in the WSEZ is exempted from income tax payment – up to 40-50% of investment costs / 2-years of employment costs. SMALL-SIZEDEntreprise:+20% MEDIUM-SIZEDEntreprise:+10%

PUBLIC AID • investmentexpenditure The entrepreneur can obtain public aid: • up to 50% of investment costs (big company; medium 60%, small 70%) in Opolskie and Lubuskie Provinces; - up to 40% of investment costs (big company; medium 50%, small 60%) in Lower Silesia and Wielkopolskie Provinces. The entrepreneur is obliged: - to invest minimum amount of 100,000 Euro; - to continue its business activity for 5 years (big company) or for 3 years (small and medium sized companies); - not to transfer the ownership of elements of the assets, which the investment expenditures were connected with provisions on income tax, for 5 years (big companies) or for 3 years (small and medium sized companies) .

PUBLIC AID • The entrepreneur can obtain public aid: • up to 50% of 2-years labour costs of new jobs created (big company; medium 60%, small 70%) in Opolskie and Lubuskie Provinces; • - up to 40% of 2-years labourcosts of new jobs created (big company; medium 50%, small 60%) in Lower Silesia and Wielkopolskie Provinces. The entrepreneur is obliged: • to keep newly created jobs for at least a 5 years (big companies) or for 3 years (small and medium sized companies). • creation of new jobs

PUBLIC AID Example calculation of the amount of public aid allocated for the new investment’s costs: New investment’s costs: » PLN 0,5 mln – purchasing of the investment ground, » PLN 2 mln – hall, facilities, know-how, etc., Income tax rate in Poland: 19% The intensity of public aid granted to small company in Opolskie Province: 70% Amount of public aid = investment’s value x intensity of public aid Amount of income exempted from tax: PLN 1.75 mln ÷ 19% = PLN 9.2 mln
