  1. Lee Weiss of New York Emphasizes the Importance of Self-Acceptance Lee Weiss is the CEO of Elev8 Centers and Urban Recovery Center. He is a certified substance abuse counselor who has been working in the field of substance abuse for more than twenty-five years now. His position requires him to supervise a team of world-renowned therapists and psychiatrists who work diligently with their clients to get to the root cause of their behavioral addiction. The explain that how the instant gratification associated with gambling, gaming, codependence and other conditions releases dopamine in the brain that if depleted, can cause withdrawals and self-destructive behavior just like substance addiction. Urban Recovery can provide a safe place as well as a customized treatment plan to remove the clients from their addictive behaviors. All the patients who come to Urban Recovery are made to undergo a 10-day assessment for the doctors to understand the root cause of their addictive behaviors. Further, Lee Weiss and his team in New York discuss the impacts this behavior has had on them and their families and how it can impact their future if it continues. Once the impact has been weighed, they lead you on to a recovery path that may include residential treatment, intensive outpatient treatment and therapy.
