The Great Commission • 14 Later He appeared to the eleven as they sat at the table; and He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen. 15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.

The Great Commission • 17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

  9. Prayer Points • Pray for those who organise them to be blessed • Pray for the speakers • Pray for those who attend to leave challenged • Pray for Gospel chances

  10. GLO Teams • Many of us have been on one of more! • GLO based in Motherwell, Scotland • Covers; Scotland, UK and the Rest of the World • Teams include; children's work, open airs, special evenings, music outreach, teaching English, leaflets distribution etc.

  13. Prayer Points • Pray for the final weeks of preparation • Prayer for the team themselves that they can be blessed and encouragement • Pray for the chance to tell the gospel • Pray for the future work in the weeks/months after

  15. Prayer Points • Pray for the various children's clubs across Scotland • Pray for the holidays/camps for the children

  16. The Open Air Mission • Focuses on the open air ministry • Will give talks in UK high streets • Their aim is to go out and tell the gospel • The OAM have a number of full time workers • Including Douglas Young • They also have a number of associate evangelists

  19. United Beach Missions • Similar to OAM but based in costal towns • Usually children clubs in afternoon on beach, evening service and other outreach activities • Teams throughout July-August • Often more than two weeks • (SU has Scotland Teams)

  30. Thursday Prayer Points • Final Last day • Evening Game • Final Activities • Christian Atmosphere

  31. Friday • The final service • Cleaning up and leaving • The journey home via Moffat • Good health for final day

  32. The Days After… • That everyone will remember what they were taught • Campers to come to church afterwards • Christian campers leaving challenged • Adjusting back to home life

  33. Summary • Many different outreaches in the UK • The harvest is there but the workers are important also • A good reason to pray for good weather!
