  1. College Readiness: Academic Behaviors • College readiness embraces a range of behaviors that reflects greater student self-awareness, self-monitoring, and self-control. • Academic Success: to comprehend material and complete tasks successfully.

  2. Cont… • Time management, prep and taking exams, and communicating with your teachers are study skill behaviors . • To participate successfully in a study group.

  3. Metacognition • Metacognition is the ability to think about what one is thinking. but to put in lamens terms it is a way to understand what another person is thinking. It like understanding the subject well. The ability to understand new things In new ways.

Behaviors of College readiness College readiness behaviors are • Self-awareness is the ability to put other thoughts behind in order to complete a task • Self-monitoring is the ability to look at ones own self and find away to change or make yourself better in order to complete a task. • Self- control is the ability to regulate their own personality and thoughts to contribute to a task without going over the limit

Continued… Other academic strategies include: • Ability to transfer learning and usage of strategies from a comfortable situation to uncomfortable. • Effective research • To have good study skills • A variety of strategies. This helps you in case one way fails you will still be prepared. • Time management
