  1. How to Manage Work Life Balance

  2. Overview • Feeling stressed or overburdened at work and at home, in today’s day-and-age is very common. For many of us, achieving work-life balance is a challenge. Between job and home, we are constantly juggling a lot of responsibilities. • Managing demanding workloads, family responsibilities, managing friendships, finding "me time," and squeezing in all those extracurricular activities seem to be an insurmountable task. We want to finish everything, but the day is just 24 hours long.

  3. Overview • It’s not easy to find the right work-life balance, but it doesn’t mean it is impossible. • The optimum work-life balance varies from person to person. A hectic day is what motivates and fuels certain entrepreneurs. For others, enjoying their down time is the ultimate priority. • Try making a list of all your weekly tasks and errands to establish your optimal work-life balance. Make a list of what makes you happy and what makes you stressed. • The tricky aspect is striking a balance between deleting or finding replacements for the stressful areas of your life while still having time to achieve your goals and feel joyful.

  4. What are the consequences of a bad work-life balance? • If you start overloading your work schedule, not only will your professional productivity suffer, but you may also encounter other unfavourable consequences at work and at home. • Employees who have a poor work-life balance are more likely to take sick days. Many of them may be justified - prolonged stress, such as that caused by being overloaded at work, might make you more susceptible to illness. • Employees who are overworked are less likely to stay with their company as long as those who are satisfied. If you're an employer, make sure you treat your employees well and understand their emotional states in order to keep them.

  5. Struggling with work-life balance? • We are frequently engrossed in our daily routines, and in order to enhance our work-life balance, we must first assess our existing condition. This sets the tone for the rest of the process. Request that your coaching clients respond to a few basic questions, such as: • How many hours do you sleep per night? • Are you happy with your physical fitness and energy levels? • Do you find yourself unable to spend enough time with your family? • Do you delegate work to others or do you feel like you have to do everything on your own? • Is your work fun, satisfying and rewarding? • Do you normally work more than 12 hours per day?

  6. Work-life balance goals • It's time for them to figure out what their priorities are in life once they've become conscious of their current circumstance. Everyone has their own idea of what constitutes a healthy work-life balance. Assist your clients in defining their ideal lifestyle. • Perhaps they simply want to work a specific number of hours per week and spend the rest of their time with their newborn child? • If their current employment inhibits them from doing so, switching jobs could be the first step toward achieving a better work-life balance.Request that they consider the following categories and rate their importance: Career, Money, Relationships, Family & Friends, Health, Fun & Leisure, Home Environment, Personal Growth.

  7. Analyze current activities and identify time wasters • Now that you have a better understanding of your clients' life objectives, it's time to go further and learn how they spend their time on a typical week. • Request that your client list all of their regular daily activities, as well as the amount of time they devote to each. After that, take a deeper look at all of those activities and ask yourself questions like: • Is the time spent doing it reasonable? (In terms of the result, effect, value for me) • Is this activity/habit self-imposed or system imposed (someone/thing else makes you do this – family, friends, employer)?

  8. Analyze current activities and identify time wasters • Analyzing current routines and habits helps to identify if they are really worth the time spent. • Many people have also taken the help of a mindset transformation coach to identify and minimize/eliminate potential time wasters.

  9. Structure your day • A to-do list is a terrific technique to work more efficiently and procrastinate less. Setting and prioritising attainable daily goals offers us a sense of control. • You should prioritise the most crucial and urgent duties before moving on to the less important ones. • Large work should be broken down into smaller chunks. This keeps us from feeling overburdened. • Identifying duties that can be delegated and encouraging them to schedule ample break. • There should be at least 5-10 minutes after each exercise to do something that will recharge their batteries.

  10. Structure your day • The ability to manage time and structure each day will significantly improve the work-life balance. • We spend less time delaying once we learn to prioritise and set a deadline for our daily duties. We have more time to spend with our family and friends if we are more productive and effective at work. • If with any of the above ways do not seem enough to you maybe a corporate life coach is what you need. As they can help you in achieving a work-life balance by providing you techniques which might leave you with more time for yourself and/or your family along with feelings of fulfilment at your job.

  11. Identify energy boosters and drains one of the main causes of poor work-life balance • We can waste a lot of time on hobbies and relationships that sap our energy and provide little benefit. Encourage your clients to recognise their energy drains and to spend less time on them. Reading all those "essential" posts on social media or talking with coworkers are excellent instances of energy drains. • Going for a run or having a good time with friends (even for a brief coffee break) may both be terrific energy boosters. Encourage your clients to spend less time with energy drains and more time with energy boosters in their daily lives!
