    4. Exercise Physiology and Performance Concentration MA Coordinator Dr. Lamont 1. Research Track (Requires Thesis) For students wishing to conduct original research in the Sport Sciences with the intent to work in an academic or professional setting or to continue onto advanced study (PhD). 2. Coaching and Sports Performance (Requires an Internship, may also carry out a Thesis) For students wishing to work in an applied setting as a Strength and Conditioning Coach or Sport Scientist in a Collegiate or Professional Sporting environment. Total Credits 36 hrs

    5. Core requirements (9 Hours) SALM 5230 Legal Issues in Physical Education and Sport (3hrs) (Spring) (Dr Palmero) PEXS 5430 Administration of Physical Education and Athletics (3hrs) (Dr Dotterweich) PEXS 5670 Research Design and Analysis (3hrs) (Fall) (Dr Sato)

Common Concentration Course Requirements (6 Hours) PEXS 5610 Muscle Metabolism and Hormonal Control (3hrs) (Fall) (Dr Stone) PEXS 5620 Sport Physiology II: Cardiovascular and Respiratory Physiology (3hrs) (Spring) (Dr Ramsey) Program requirements = 21 hours vary dependent upon selected track.
