Objectives • Qassim, Riyadh Water and Sewage Authority Managing the Utility Networks • Qassim Located at the heart of the country, and almost in the center of the Arabian Peninsula. It has a population of 1,016,756 and an area of 65,000 km². • To Provide Effective and Efficient services of Water and Sewage Facilities to the community
Goals • Design Single platform contains three applications Integrated as Enterprise Solution (water – sewage – city management ) • Transferring the paper maps ( Old into digital platform • Linking the Various Sections data together ( Graphic & Database ) • Information exchange between the Various departments without replicated the data • The coordination of the work between operation maintenance ,engineering others • Saving the time and producing the effective results • Good analysis for the spatial data and non spatial data • The support for the strategic and management decisions • The Improvement of the Operation process that done by the companies and Contractors • Introducing better services for the community
Various Stages Implemented The first stage : Collecting and preparing the data of the project through contractors • Collecting of the text data that is existing in paper ( as built ) , Office Suite Softwares . • Design a unified data base by using oracle 10g • Transfer the drawing elements to STAR GIS systems • Transfer the text data and input it in Oracle DB • The execution of (QC & QA) for these data to getting the better accuracy • Execution of cleaning & topology for the drawing elements • Performing additional processing and improving for data base tables and coordinating the relationship between them
System Execution Stages The second stage : Design a platform for system as required • Design a platform for the applications ( City Management – Sewage – Water ) • Activating of Rule-Base commands to prevent user errors through the dealing • With system • Design a special programming codes for the automatically calculations inside platforms • Performing of all required analysis to insert it in the special platform in the system • Activating of the user profile properties
System Execution Stages The Third Stage : Testing of all commands of the system • Software Testing If there is any error in system , it is fixed by the developers in R & D division • After the checking every thing is OK ,the system is delivered to the users The Fourth Stage : Delivering the system for the water & sewage authority • In this stage , the system is delivered and trained to water & sewage authority to starting the operation cycle

Buffer Zone Analytical studies for the analysis of particular parts of the network to locate sewage network locations to help determine the location of the new ones The possibility of identifying parts of the network after 300 meters from the pumping stations
