  2. Types of Energy • There are a lot of types of energy, four of these energy are: • Kinetic Energy • Potential Energy • Electrical Energy • Nuclear Energy

  3. Kinetic Energy • Energy of motion • It related to speed • Example: moving bicycle, people running, stone dropped from the skies. • ½ mv2

  5. Potential Energy • It is a stored energy. • The energy is stored by doing work against a force. • A book on a table has more P.E than a book on the floor. • Factors: Mass of the object, distance and gravity. • P.E = mgh

  7. Electrical Energy • It is the primary source of energy consumption in any household. • Electrical energy is supplied by power plants. • Power plants usually fuelled by fossil fuel.

  9. Nuclear Energy • Energy released during splitting the nuclei of the atom. • Nuclear energy splits uranium and/or plutonium. • Nuclear energy uses fission method. • It produces heat, or electricity (nuclear power plant).
