  2. Sherlock Holmes is a mystery novel. It is a series of short stories. Each book has 10 or so short stories in it.

  3. The stories can be read in any order because the only people that are repeated are; the police chief, Sherlock Holmes and Watson.

  4. Some of the mysteries that he has to solve are; A scandal in Bohemia, The Red-Headed League and A Case of Identity. • Sherlock is a PI separate from the police. Watson is his friend who is very loyal and as Sherlock always says to him “elementary my dear Watson.”

  5. Sherlock Holmes was recently made into a movie of the same name. It featured Robert Downey Jr as Sherlock.

  6. I would recommend Sherlock Holmes to anyone over the age of 10 that is very mature.

  7. I think that this book is a classic because the characters and storyline are timeless and because it doesn’t use contemporary language so it doesn’t date.
