What is sFDMS*? • Near real-time financial snapshot across all laboratories and program offices in NOAA Research • Secure, web-based access for HQ management • Dynamically compiled view of financial data “rolled-up” across all the NOAA Research FDMS databases • Consolidated near-realtime reports on NOAA Research finances *sFDMS is short for SuperFDMS

Vision for sFDMS • Provides unified web-based view of NOAA Research finances in near real-time • Provides architectural framework for future FDMS and sFDMS enhancements • E.g., FDMS Reports to enable local laboratory/office Principal Investigators to view their own finances • Next generation of FDMS and sFDMS

  12. sFDMS Status • Database development and population complete • Prototype user access available for testing • Solicitation open for HQ management requirements, feedback, comments • Report format can be altered to suit HQ needs • Additional reports can be added on HQ request • Anticipated operational by May 2003
