They will lay siege to all the cities throughout your land until the high fortified walls in which you trust fall down.
[G]ive me neither poverty nor riches, but give me only my daily bread. Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you and say, ’Who is the Lord ?’ Or I may become poor and steal, and so dishonor the name of my God."
I will save you; you will not fall by the sword but will escape with your life, because you trust in me, declares the Lord.
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

“Because you did not trust in me enough to honor me as holy in the sight of the Israelites, you will not bring this community into the land I give them.”
