  4. Fundraising • Thank you to everyone who has worked a basketball game! • T-shirts!!: • Money will be collected after the meeting • LAST CHANCE to sign up! • Preview… 

  5. Special Projects • Thanks for helping with Valentine’s Day in the clinic! • Be on the look out for sign ups for the March clinic activity • If you sign up for a shift in the clinic, you need to notify us 24 hours in advance • Relay for life: • Invitations • Sign up! • Be The Match

Opportunities… Fundraising Special Projects March clinic event week after spring break Relay for Life April 5-6th Family retreat April 20-21st Earth day clinic event April 22-23 • 2/23 basketball game (NCSU) • T-shirts ($15) • Benefit night the week after spring break PLEASE plan ahead! We do NOT want to lose anyone this semester. Reminder: 3 required events!!!

  7. 1:1s • Please apply for a pal! • Especially if you are a male… • New application is on the website • If you don’t get updates, please let me know so I can add you to the email group! • We now have 79 kids with pals! That is AWESOME!!!!!

  8. From Jenni… • Precautions review • Request for help! • School age support group last Thursday of the month from 1-2:15 pm • Child care for siblings 4 and under

  9. Elections • Elections will be held at the next meeting (3/18) • We are going to skip nominations! • Application on website • Return application by Friday March 8th at 5 pm • You can run for as many positions as you’d like! • We are working on a new voting system

  10. The Vice-President will serve as the President-elect, will help plan general body meetings with the President and will serve as leader for general body meetings when the President is absent. The Vice-President will ensure that members fulfill their UNC Healthcare Volunteer requirements. • The Secretary will take minutes of each meeting and distribute these in a timely manner following each meeting. The secretary will develop and maintain a roster of current members and keep an attendance log for meetings and activities. • The Fund Raising Coordinators will be responsible for applying for grants, applying for basketball games for members to work, as well as any other fund raising opportunities which may present themselves. • The Special Project Coordinators will be responsible for planning and organizing the two patient/family activities each year, as well as additional projects which members may elect to provide for their patients. These coordinators may appoint committees to assist them. • The Treasurer will handle all communication regarding monetary collection, deposits, and withdrawals (including reimbursements). • The Public Relations Coordinator will be responsible for publicizing the group’s presence and intentions to Hospital staff members, families, UNC students, and the general public. Communication and marketing tools as well as publicity events will be the responsibility of the Public Relations Coordinator under the direction of the organization President.
