1. New Cell Phone Policy: Effective Immediately • Cell Phone, Laptop, Tabvlet, & Music Device Policy: These devices must be kept out of sight during class unless I authorize their use. It will be very clear if their use is authorized or not. If you violate this policy, the device will be confiscated and we will follow the behavioral consequences detailed later. • Consequences of violating this policy: • 1st offense –Device confiscation for the block and parental contact • 2nd offense-device confiscation for the day and referral • 3rd offense-device confiscation for the day, office referral (detention), and meeting with admin and academic advisor • Clarification on Laptops: Laptops for note-taking or working on a project will be permitted until a student violates expectations. Other than that, they need to be put away like other electronic devices. Violations of expectations will include doing anything not related to working on a project and using the laptop to take pictures. Consequences will be the same as ones listed above.
