  2. Administrative Progress 2016 • Proposal is almost finished. Hope to submit by mid September. Hope to have full admission by annual general meeting

  3. Academic Progress 2016 • Had interview with Milton on several issues : • Main challenge is no logs at UNMA • (failed stations, reasons, cost of fixing) . Will have to estimate • One paper out early this year • 2nd paper rejected – to be improved after ATMEGA256RFR2 power experiments • 3rd paper abstract submitted to UbuntuConnect: Leveraging inter-institutional networks to facilitate transmission of data from AWS

  4. Plans – 2nd half of 2016 • Finalize with ATMEGA sink/gateway + Contiki • Rectify paper • 3 new undergrad students • Basic gateway functionality in ATMEGA (receive, save locally) and power minimization + survey of better GPRS options • Wireless Sneakernet Protocol for AWS • Fixing digital rainguages for UNMA • Defend proposal
