  10. Success Stories Here are a few… Residential Hickory Airport Burke Co Landfill In 2004 we brought Internet Service to the Hickory Airport and FBO. Service was not available at that time and was very costly to expand using traditional providers. We enabled 4-6 businesses to operate at the Hickory Airport with Internet services that otherwise would not have been available. Today in 2012 we still are the only provider available at many locations on the Airport Property. Burke County General Services contacted us in 2012 to provide Internet service for multiple locations at their landfill site. They had gone for years without service and was brought to our attention by one of their employees who lives in Burke Co. and uses our services. We provide service often in areas where traditional providers have thin or no services available. We often hear stories from Residential customers who build their dream home only to find out that the Cable Company wants $20,000 to extend services to their location. DSL isn’t available or they don’t want a land-line bundle. In most cases for $199 we can install our Internet Service and DISH Network TV services to these customers. The Average Cost for both services combined is $94.95/mo but can be as low as $45/mo. 3 1 2
  11. Case Study Rock Barn Golf and Spa Data and Campus Networking Needs Solutions Rock Barn approached us in 2005 with the following needs: More reliable and affordable source of Internet Connectivity. They had tried DSL and Cable and had poor reliability with both. The issue was preventing business growth, hurting sales of large banquets and training events that required Broadband. High Speed connectivity to multiple buildings on their campus to extend their own LAN for a variety of reasons. New Home communities with lots for sale but NO access to Internet. Provided a Redundant LightLeap Business connection and integrated it using a Dual WAN Router for performance when they needed it and reliability that allowed them to move to an Integrated system for accepting Credit Cards via the Internet instead of slower phone line terminals. Provided 2 different Wireless Point to Point solutions to expand their campus LAN and to allow them to offer ubiquitous network systems across all of their facilities such as Phone and Point of Sale Systems. Put POP site in place at RB to provide broadband to sections of RB where NO Internet Services are available. 1 2
  12. Case Study Western Piedmont Transit Authority (WPRTA) Solutions Redundancy and Additional Capacity The WPRTA has been a customer of NCW for years at their Downtown Hickory location. In September 2011 the WPRTA asked us to provide a cost effective connection for their offices near Conover. Other solutions were more than $500/mo with lengthy build time. Redundancy and upload speeds are of major importance. NCW provides one of our LightLeap Broadband solutions at 50% of the cost of other option with more flexibility and true geographic diversity to provide true redundancy. Within days NCW installed one of our Wireless Ethernet Solutions with speeds capable of 20mbps + possible. 1 2
  13. Case Study Catawba County Government Data and Campus Networking Needs Solutions The Catawba County Government was looking for a true backup for their Fiber network between Newton, NC and the location of many of their offices on Tate Blvd in Hickory. After a move to the old Sweetwater School Building from the First Plaza Building on Tate Blvd, Smart Start and More at Four needed a data connection back to the county’s network for systems, network and phone service. NCW engineered a licensed PtP link for Catawba County Government between Hickory and Newton that operates as a true redundant fail-over. The link is rated at 100mbps + full duplex NCW engineered a PtP link for Catawba County and Smart Start. After the cost of fiber was quoted and being unsure of how long they would be located at Sweetwater our solution was a great fit. We provide 45mbps + across a dedicated PtP that was a perfect alternative to fiber with more than a 99.9999% uptime. 1 2
