  2. DIY Toilet Seat Replacement Tips Fitting a new toilet seat or replacing one is a very simple task. Fixing a toilet seat can qualify for a quick DIY project too. All you need are some necessary tools, and you’re all set ready to go.

  3. Take off the old toilet seat: • Start by popping off the bolt caps. You may discover these tiny plastic caps affixed to the hinges on the toilet bowl. Gently put your screwdriver by sliding it under the edge & then try to pry the caps off. • Now, you can grab your wrench & see underneath the toilet bowl’s edge. There will be bolts that will be going down through the toilet bowl. These bolts are held in place by the nuts. • Once loosened, take off the old toilet seat’s bolts. You may have to employ a screwdriver to take off them quickly. If so, turn each of the bolts counterclockwise until they come out entirely.
