ASO/AC activity report 1/2 • 6 teleconferences (1 special) and 1 f2f meeting after APNIC29 • 11 Mar. 2010, 8 Apr. 2010, 13 May 2010, 10 Jun. 2010, 22 Jul. 2010, and 5 Aug 2010 • Face-to-face meeting in Brussels at 22 Jun 2010 (during ICANN) • Topics • 2010 ICANN Board of Directors Election • We selected Kuo Wei Wu. • We have no election next year, and try to improve ICANN board selection procedure • Time frame • current procedure is fragile a little bit. Need to make it more flexible
ASO/AC activity report 2/2 Global Policy Management • Global Policy Proposal for the Allocation of IPv4 Blocks to Regional Internet Registries • Adopted in APNIC, LACNIC, AfriNIC and RIPE. • Adopted in ARIN with different text • ASO/AC decided this policy proposal failed to get global consensus and advised NRO EC about that last November. • Global Policy for allocation of ASNs to RIRs • Adopted in all regions, and forwarded to ICANN board for ratification on 22 Jul. • Public comment period in ICANN was ended at 13 Aug. • Global policy for IPv4 allocations by the IANA post exhaustion • Recognized as a global policy • Will be discussed in all regions
