In 2009-2010, Northside Elementary restructured to close the achievement gap, focusing on math and English Language Arts. By implementing math and literacy initiatives, non-negotiables, progress monitoring, and technology integration, the school saw improvement in test scores and student engagement. The ultimate goal is for students to meet or exceed state standards, leading to AYP status.
