  2. The proprietary methanol synthesis reactor of MVS Engineering Pvt.   3. Energy saving, i.e. effective recovery of the reaction heat as steam generation, is accomplished by the basic features of the multi-stage and indirect cooling form design reactor. Approximately 50 percent of the steam needed for the steam reforming of the corresponding syngas output for methanol synthesis is equivalent to the steam produced. The radial flow function of the MRF-Z® reactor decreases the pressure drop over the catalyst bed by approximately one-tenth compared to the axial flow configuration and thus saves energy for the recompression of unreacted synthesis gas up to the reactor inlet pressure.In addition, it is easy to scale up along with the reactor height direction while retaining the reactor diameter size, i.e. maintaining the same catalyst bed pressure drop, and therefore the probably largest amount of the catalyst can be loaded in a single reactor vessel. Moreover, because the operating conditions of the reactor are relatively mild, catalyst life can be assumed to be longer and there is therefore less risk of catalyst sintering or mechanical degradation. Therefore, maintenance work such as catalyst change-over at the end of life is quick and convenient. The MRF-Z® reactor is currently employed in MVS Engineering Pvt. Ltd. methanol ventures to date. Methanol reformers work with water on a comfortable mix of methanol and need little electrical power. In thermal exchangers, a mixture of methanol and demineralised water is vaporised. The methanol/water vapour mixture is converted into syngas consisting of H2, CO, CO2, CH4 and water vapour during the passage of the heated catalyst. Then the syngas passes into the purification unit, where it purifies and delivers the hydrogen. Follow
