  3. CVTE Graduates • 76 % of the Graduating Class of 2011 enrolled in a two or four year college/tech institute • 96 % Positive Placement of the Vocational Graduates from the Class of 2010

  4. Programs of Study • Allied Health - PN • Automotive Technology • CAD • Carpentry • Child Care • Culinary • Cosmetology • Computer Science • Electrical • Engineering Electronics • Graphic Arts • Marketing – PS and PN • Metal Fab / Welding • Marine Technology • Plumbing

  5. Nontraditional Enrollment • 15.2% of the Freshmen enrolled in Nontraditional by Gender Programs in 2012 • 9% of the Upperclassmen are currently enrolled in Nontraditional by Gender Fields (73 of 801) • Equality in Technology Club meets to support NTG CVTE Students

  6. Cooperative / Internship Education • Over 40 students participate in Co-Op or Internships through local businesses/schools • On site safety checks and assessments are completed by our Co-Op Coordinator

  7. Articulation Agreements • Johnson and Wales, Quincy College, Boston University, Curry College, Bay State CC, Southern Maine CC, Wentworth, Ben Franklin IT, Bristol CC, Cape Cod CC, UTI, Mass Bay, Local Trade Union Apprenticeships, New England Technical Institute, New England Institute of Art, ITT Tech, Northwest Ohio, Ohio Tech, New England Institute of Technology, The Landing School

  8. Annual Tech Expo • PCIS and PSMS – Grades 7 and 8 visit during the school day. • Open to Families to visit the exhibits and the classrooms in the evening. • 2012 Grade 8 Applications: • 225 Exploratory PSHS • 47 Allied Heath PNHS • 35 Marketing PNHS

SkillsUSA and DECA • Over 200 students participated in the SkillsUSA and DECA District Competitions in 2012. • Over 100 qualified for State Competitions this spring. • 28 DECA students to Nationals - 2012 • 2 SkillsUSA student to Nationals - 2011 • 1 SkillsUSA student is a Mass State Officer - 2012

  11. Career Plans • Career Cruising – Grades 9-12 updated annually • Career Plan Folders are completed by our Career Specialist

  12. Accountability VTCTS – Vocational Technical Competency Tracking System (Mailed Home each Semester)

  13. OSHA – Health and Safety Training • All Freshman Exploratory Students received the OSHA 1910 Health and Safety Training prior to selecting their CVTE program. • All Upperclassmen in the Construction Cluster will receive the OSHA 1926 Construction Training before graduation.

  14. Program Advisory Committee • 150 Members – business leaders, union reps, parents and students. • Meet twice a year to evaluate the programs. • 16 Chairpersons make-up the General Advisory Committee to share minutes from each program’s advisory meeting.

  15. Coordinated Program Review • “Model Comprehensive High School” • SPED PD for CVTE Staff • Longer Exploratory • More Focus on Assessing Framework Strands 3 and 4 • Increase the Advisory Membership in Nontraditional Areas • Health and Safety Upgrades

  17. 2nd Annual Senior Showcase • Highlighting Skill Attainment • May 17, 2012 • Seniors will display projects in the PSHS cafeteria
