  1. What is Interactive Learning And VR Learning Solutions

  2. In the modern world, traditional learning methods have been eschewed in favor of modern interactive solutions. This wave has been bolstered by continued advances in technology. The term “interactive” means that the learner also participates in the learning process. This learning can be done individually or in small groups. Interactive learning breaks the traditional paradigm of one-way instructor-based learning and fosters active learner participation.

  3. Characteristics of Interactive Learning Solutions • What is commonly mistaken for interactive learning is, in fact, not the textbook definition ofinteractive learning solutions. Clicking on the next button of content on a slide is not interactive learning. This is because this method does not sense the needs of the user and address them. It is thus non-interactive. • Another form of content is reactive content that involves pre-programmed objects such as hyperlinks on images and multiple-choice questions. They lead to different menus which loop back to the starting points on a linear path. You, as a learner, have some control over the learning process, but you can only do what the content expects you to do.

  4. The true type of interactive learning solutions is where your direct queries, as well as your inferred needs, are met by the content. The content synthesizes variables defined by your behavior at every stage and responds accordingly. This can be in the form of video games, high-fidelity simulations, and so on. • At the highest echelon of these solutions is content that allows interaction between groups. This can be multiplayer online games, synchronous distance learning, and training simulations. Your individual behavior influences how others interact with the content. This means that it is more practical as your actions have effects as in real-life situations.

  5. Virtual Reality (VR) Learning Solutions Virtual reality is a graphical user interface where you are immersed in a virtual 3D representation of an environment with which you can interact with in real-time. It uses specialized equipment like headphones, head-mounted radio TV goggles, and a data glove. Using the data glove, you can input instructions and manipulate the virtual environment. This technology uses technology like accelerometers to continually adjust for movements made in the virtual world.

  6. These VR learning solutions have been used in several industries, like in the training of cabin crew. It was noted that the trainees were able to grasp the concepts faster than those traditionally trained. The instructor was able to monitor several trainees at a go through a closed-circuit camera. • Interactive learning solutions are anticipated to continue gaining popularity and increased adoption in the future. • Source URL: https://www.mindstick.com/articles/327129/characteristics-of-interactive-learning-solutions
